Blogging Scholarships for College Students

As I surfed around the blogosphere, I found a few scholarships that college student bloggers were eligible to receive. Who doesn’t want money for college? Even though I am a senior, I found out I was still a possible candidate. Scholarships are a great way to pay for college and it can be a good addition to the resume.

Here they are:

The Blogging Scholarship

Award: 1st place $10,000, Runner-up $1,000
What to do: Submit blog and write an essay (max. 300 words).
Deadline: October 30, 2008 (Sorry it passed! Next year I guess.)

SPENDonLIFE $2,000 Credit Blogging Scholarship

Award: $2,000
What to do: Write a post (~ 400 words) on credit and the importance of identity theft.
Deadline: December 1, 2008

There are probably many other blogging scholarships regarding topics other than finance. Take a gander and apply! Money is on the line!
