It was happened to my laptop several months ago. I went to service centre. The original RAM was replaced. How lucky i am, that i still have this product warranty for 1 year. So it's free. Not so long, then my laptop become death, seems like no power from battery. The problem is mainboard. Then, they replaced the original mainboard. They said that it's one of failed product. Say, it's 1 : 10

I have not experienced the Blue Screen of Death yet, but my touchpad has started to wear off...I am not happy about that. I am just hoping my VAIO makes it 2 1/2 more years through my school years...

NO WAY, I'd totally disagree with that!
My previous PC was working for 9 years and when I disposed it off because of its slow processor it was still working!
If you talk about usage I was on that computer more than 7 hours a day, 365 days a year!

It could be a number of things.

The first thing to check would be that every in firmly attached. That includes the hard drive cable. Check to make sure the memory is properly seated. Over time, it can start to wiggle out of its slot which can cause wacky things like this.

It's possible the RAM went bad. It's also possible there is too much dust in there. If everything appears seated properly, and it still does this, you may need to take it in for service. But first, do whatever you can to back up your data. If you send your machine off someplace, they may just erase the hard drive to eliminate the possibility of software errors.

I use computer-show.com to buy computers for my office. These computers have generally been leased (for around 3 to 6 months) and may have a few cosmetic scratches but the CPUs are awesome. So far we have bought 4 towers and 1 laptop and have been extremely happy with them. Even the monitors are great.

Our company is extremely small, so I always look for ways to save us money. We cannot afford to buy new computers every time one dies on us. I do not work for, or have any affiliation, with computer-show; I just like their product. I am sure there are many other such places on the net that offer the same type of savings.
